I should say falling BECAUSE OF these shoes? I mean, it's getting ridiculous. Someone is going to get hurt.
Victoria Beckham at the MALL (!!) with her sons, in this pair of DSquared2 hidden platform six-inch stilettos. These are not even bordering on ridiculous, they surpassed that a long time ago.
But they're not the only ones.
Yves Saint Laurent Trooper Platform Pump, $695
And it's not only their sky-high heels, it's also that their prices are as high as the heels are getting. Now, do not get me wrong - I WILL NOT sully the good names of designers like Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Louboutin and others by suggesting that they are over-priced. Fact is, you get what you pair for - which is history, heritage, workmanship, quality and STYLE.
I'm not gonna lie to you - if I could afford to buy those, I probably would. But I can't, so that's done. The thing is, if you scout around, you should be able to find some reasonable substitutions that won't break your ankle, or the bank.
Here is a case study of this, featuring two of my favourite fall styles - the loafer-inspired pump, and booties.
