ModernGear Food: Happiness is a warm cup
Does this sound like your Monday morning? Stumbling in to the coffee shop, you realize you've forgotten your travel mug. Torn, you order anyway and leave with either green guilt at the double whammy of paper cup and cardboard sleeve, or forgo said sleeve and end up suffering with burning fingers and a rapidly cooling caramel macchiato or green tea. Honestly.
Here's a solution to alleviate at least half of your guilt on the days when you forget your travel mug. They're easy to tuck into a bag or briefcase, and they're fashionable and reusable - coffee cup sleeves. Until I did a little research, I didn't know there were so many fun options, like these:
For $3.95 from KlinQ.com, this silicone sleeve is dishwasher safe, and heat and slip resistant.
Green Cup Cooley By Fusion Brands
Coffee Cup Cooley By Fusion Brands
Fushenta Cup Cooley By Fusion Brands
From Cup Couture and available at Amazon, Cup Couture Cup Sleeves for $12
Cup Couture Cup Sleeve -Funky Flowers
Cup Couture Cup Sleeve -Purple Dots
Cup Couture Cup Sleeve -Funky Flowers
Cup Couture Cup Sleeve -Pink w/ Dots
Cup Couture Cup Sleeve -Zebra
And the post wouldn't be complete without some handmade cup cozies from Etsy. My favourites are the Cup Cuddlers from MamadamaDesigns, for $5.75:
some lovely hand-knit ones from the Pinkmoonshop, for $9:
and more cable knit cozies (available in white, cream, camel and pink, with buttons for fasteners) from Pinkpetaldesigns, for $6.
Most of these aren't just for a take-away paper mug either, but will actually help keep your regular coffee mug a little warmer for a little longer, or absorb condensation from your iced drinks.
And, maybe it's a little early to bring this up, but one would actually be a great stocking stuffer for the bevvie-lover in your life. Warm cup = warm heart.
