ModernGear Shoes: tracking down the Loubies or the look-likes

Kathryn of Kiki's Kitchen, one of my most faithful readers, has tasked me with tracking down these shoes...
So, what does the lovely Reese Witherspoon have on her feet, anyway?

They look to me, like the Paquita shoes, which on christianlouboutin.com can be found in the Extremely High section, and that's not surprising since these beauties come in at 12-cm. They're made of crepe satin and look to be available in yellow or pink for this summer.

Shoewawa talked about the gold ones, beautiful! But also $995, at Net-A-Porter.
And, here are your black ones! So. Utterly. Gorgeous. They're called the Platform Cage Sandal, and they're only $995 at NeimanMarcus.com! Let's see - rent or shoes, rent or shoes?!

Well, assuming that common sense takes over and you decide to keep your home, that doesn't mean that your style has to suffer. There are still plenty of gorgeous gladiator-inspired heeled sandals available for the taking this season, for a lot less.

I wrote about them last summer, and they look to be a strong trend this year as well. Now, I won't say these are look-alikes but look-likes...no, none of these are identical to the Loubies but these are pretty sexy and stylish in their own right.
